Health Services
For the health and safety of the entire school community, students should NOT report to school if they are feeling unwell, have a fever (temperature of 100.4 or higher) OR any of the following symptoms with or without fever:
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing -or -
- Loss of taste or smell -or –
- New or worsening cough
This is not a complete list of all symptoms of COVID-19, but only those that should trigger an automatic exclusion and evaluation for COVID-19. Other symptoms may include: fever, chills, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea/vomiting, or diarrhea. Many COVID-19 cases show no symptoms at all, and a person can spread the virus up to two (2) days before they have any symptoms. You may also view the entire DHEC school exclusion list here.
Please remember all medication must be brought in to the Health Office, medication cannot be sent in student’s backpacks. Stock medications provided by the district are available to students whose parents consented via the Infosnap registration and health card completion. If you have not completed that information, please contact our data specialist so I can serve your child’s health needs while in school.
Immunization Requirements are per South Carolina state law. Each student is given 30 days to provide a compliant immunization record. Per law your child can be withheld from school for lack of immunizations.
